OM Systems (aka Olympus) are set to revolutionise the digital dictation and transcription world, especially for the existing dedicated and pretty large customer base in Australia and globally.
With a shift in direction, a long time coming in our opinion, they will be moving from a device based licence (currently known as ODMS R7 Dictation Module (DM) and Transcription Module (TM)) to a subscription model. What does this mean to Olympus customers? The one licence key you have for each PC that you use, that you need to write down and store safely in case you lose it, the same key you have had for at least four years or more, will be gone. Instead a cloud based licence that will live with the end user, be they a transcription typist or dictation author.
The ODMS Cloud solution will launch globally in April 2024 and there will be an Australian hosted shard, meaning all dictation will stay in country.
